Default Start up lights?

When I start the 93 rover, the warning lights come on as a test after startup. They seem to stay on a long time and the oil light flashes, but they all go out at the same time. Is this normal?\

Default RE: Start up lights?

Normal for the ABS and Brake light to come on--- they go off after you roll. The flashing oil light probably means it is time to do a engine flush as you have sludge build up inside the engine.

Get a new oil filter and6 quarts of good quality oil, such as Valvoline, and one quart of RISLONE (a very good additive for older engines). Also buy 6 quarts of ATF (automatic trans fluid). Drain your existing oil after warming up the engine. Put the 6 quarts of ATF in the engine and start it up. Let it idle for 40-60 minutes--- but DO NOT DRIVE IT-- with the ATF in. Drain the ATF, replace the oil filter, and put in the Valvoline and Rislone.
