Default Steering wheel adjustment problem.

Yesterday I adjusted the steering wheel on my 1996 P38 SE. The Steering Column telescoping locked back into place, but the tilt did not, it still moves freely up and down. Any suggestions to fix this problem are greatly appreciated.

Might just be a clip that is not engaging, a spring popped out, or the clip broke. Have you opened it up yet? It might be something simple.

I think ir's something simple also, I just dont see it. I have taken the cover off, but don't see anything loose or missing.
