The part that scares me the most is that it has been sitting for 2 years. Why? It's never good to sit that long, lots of little problems pop up. If you set aside some spare cash and plan on putting $2k into it you should be fine.

The ABS light is probably on due it sitting and not being used, italso could be that it just needs to be cleared once driven a little. If you can get it for less then I think it could be worth it, but yes just like Krazz said, plan on putting some money into it. I ma sure there will be cracks in the spring bellows and just about every other hose and belt will need to be replaced.

My ABS light comes on every time I start it. It eventually goes away once I get just above 3 mph, which is think is normal. My mechanic kept telling me something was wrong with the ABS system, and I would try to explain to him that it is normal, but he would not believe me. 3k isn't too bad, how many miles are on it?

if your mechanic doesn't know the system then he don't know the car. I would stay away from him for any diagnosis if it were me.
