What's my 96 P38 worth?

What's my 96 P38 worth?
Guys...
Time to thin out the driveway a little bit and part with the 1996 P38. I put photos up in the "gallery" area today....tried putting them in a thread and can't remember how I've done that in the past.
For those of you "in the know," please look at them and give me your thoughts as to what this vehicle should be listed / sold for. 126k miles, original flawless paint, interior is good but headliner is sagging....upholstery shop wants about $600 to replace and I don't feel like it. You'll note it has brand new (less than 1000 miles on them) tires on my old 2005 HSE 19" rims. ABS just replaced. EAS is gone and springs are in it. Stereo rebuilt by Roverville, new CD changer. Just did $3k on ball joints, rear and main seals, tie rods. There's really "nothing wrong" with the thing other than as you all know it's an old Rover and that means something can happen anytime....I'm going to put this last kid at home in a Honda like I did the other 2 and have some peace of mind that the phone won't ring late at night with a bs mechanical problems.
Anyone who can book this out or tell me what to do here, I appreciate. Obviously I'll never get back what I put into this thing over the years but as long as the bleeding stops and it's gone, I don't care.
Thanks,
Mike

Go to these three sites and get values from each then average them and you'll have a good starting point for what to ask. Off the top of my head I would guess it's worth somewhere in the $4000-$5000 range but that's judging from the little I know of P38s and the value of Discoveries. Rangies are worth more than Discos (in some people's opinion).

It's a great looking truck. My suggestion would be to park it at 138th and Lenox and leave the keys in it. That will be the most headache free way to part with it. I don't know your financial situation but unless you need the money, I would keep it as a beach rig or something.
Selling my 2000 was probably the most arduous experience of my entire life. It took almost a year and I had to deal with all sorts of unsavory tire kickers trying to make dubious financial arrangements; the most interesting being a stripper who was down on her luck. I owned it since almost new, maintained it meticulously (like you evidently do) and ended up losing about $50,000 on the deal, selling it for $7,500 in February to an enthusiastic local college student. And since that day my stomach has been turning while I agonize over the guilt of selling him a 9 year old P38 with 90,000 miles on it, a veritable Pandora's box of problems.
With that said, good luck and can I get first dibs on your license plate frame?

I have thought about trading my econo box for an 03 or 04 disco. But, I figure it will give me a headache later if I have two rovers that don't work lol. I'm just gonna keep saving up for an 06 RR or LR3. Chances are I'll keep the P38 just for grins though.
Let me know when you do it LOL.
