02 Disco no start
Hi all,
I have a 02 Disco 2 178k miles. This is my 2nd Disco and love owning these SUVs. I generally read this forum when questions arise with success. My issue is the other day I was driving around 30 mph and rpms dropped to 300 for a short time in a limp and then engine stalled. For the past few weeks if I go to several places quickly upon start up it takes a few attempts to get it running. I also have a slight miss from 45-55 as well. Now it will not run but it will turn over. It sounds like it is out of time and I assume it is computer controlled. I replaced the crank and cam sensor. I checked fuel and pump is working. I checked for spark and it is generating spark. Has good compression and all the relays and fuses are good. 2 codes thrown P0301 and P0447. Not sure if there is another sensor that retards spark causing it to not run. Coil is fairly new along with magnacore wires and plugs (8 months old). Inertia switch has not been activated but I pressed it just in case. Any help would be appreciated before I have a professional figure out the problem. Thanks yall

Have you verified actual fuel pressure? The pump can be running but not delivering adequate fuel supply. That's where I'd go before having it towed. Does OBDII generate an output for fuel pressure? Good luck.
I didn't have the correct fitting for the fuel pressure tester. The one I had pushed the Schroeder valve open and fuel had a good constant stream coming out. I can confirm fuel pressure if I can find the right fitting attachment
Alright yall I tested the pressure today and it was 4psi so pump is shot. I also removed the cap and listened for buzz and out of 20 key turns I heard 2 very faint buzzes. Ordered a pump so ill get that replaced as soon as it gets here. Thanks for the input and ill post if its a success.
