This is my wifes car and does not get driven much. It is an 02 Freelander
with 51K miles. (yes thats right) she was driving and the temp gauge started acting up. it would rest fine in the center and then just jump to the high side but the car showed no signs of overheating. Possoble thermostat? but my mechanic can get it now to overheat. he said he found these 2 codes P1319 / P0171 but no service lights ever came on. The car is low on power, he said it was in lemp mode or something. any suggestion?

 

My 02 Freelander has the same codes coming up along with many more =| Did you ever find out what they were for?

 

the motor probably got fried from the overheating but at the same time the lean codes could be a number of things.
