Firts thing that comes to mind is the cam sensor on the front cylinder head, did it get routed correctly and plugged in? Are the pins okay inside the connector?

does it have fuel pressure? pull the fuel hose and turn it on. look up codes. Seen alot of cams snap on those bad boys. check compression. oh and how were the heads themselves, pitted pretty bad? Also too hope to god the cylinder walls didnt slip out of place without the proper tools. Or the timing is off. Those engines are throwaway engines. if you are lucky to have a clean head hopefully you are lucky enough to not have coolant in the oil from a slipped liner. We have seen the coolant leak from the bottom of the engine after pulling them apart. you can use dye to see whats leaking.
