Wife blew a head gasket recently due to a radiator that had sprung a leak. While driving close to our house, she saw the temp gauge go up, pulled over, cut it off, & called me. She did good. 👍 So, I get it to the house, diagnose the head gasket failure, ordered my gasket kit & radiator, & tore her down. Everything looked great save the head gasket on the right. (I suspect that it had been close to failure for sometime.) I did everything by the book. Verbatim. Fired her up upon completion, ran beautiful. Drove around town (with my computer hooked up watching my coolant temps) checking my coolant & topped it off once. After about 15 miles I stopped again too check coolant & oil. Coolant was gone & oil was over filled! Def have coolant in the crankcase. So here is my question: Just sitting in the garage, off, if I fill the coolant reservoir, it goes straight to the crankcase. I can here it making a "glug glug" sound. What in the hell is going on? Timing cover gasket? Any help would be appreciated guys. Thanks in advance.

Possibly a cracked block, or cylinder sleeve, since it's getting into the engine so quickly.

 

Timing cover gasket could be possible, if the water pump gasket is blow inside, and coolant is pouring into the pan.
