Default 1996 disco belt change@#$%^&

96 disco ive tried and searched this forum , can someone tell me the procedure for changing your belt thanks!!!

You are running a serpentine belt only, I believe and all that is needed is to unload the pressure from the belt tensioner with a wrench and remove the belt, pretty simple.

i did losen the tensioner but there was no slack in the belt ,the tensioner barley moved up or down do i take the bolt all the way out????????thanks

Put the wrench on the tensioner, the whole thing should rotate if you lean into your wrench, which will then take allow the belt to be removed.

Just to be clear on this. You do NOT unscrew any bolt on the tensioner. You merely put your long wrench on the bolt on the tensioner pulley that is riding against the belt, and push down (away from the belt), and while holding the tensioner down and away from the belt, you take your other hand and remove the belt from something on top, such as the alternator, when you have done this you can release your pushing on the pulley and remove the belt from the rest of the pulleys.
