Can anyone tell me the process for changing the rear main seal on my 1998 rover? Is it hard? Shortcuts,etc.

if that is actually what is leaking, very common for a head or a intake gasket to leak and someone thinks its a rear main seal.

oh and any rear main seal on any car requires the engine or the transmission to removed.

 

What is the best way to check the tyranny fluid for my 98 rover?
