Default 2000 Disco 2 offroad lights

I did a search and didn't find anything that specifically covered this.
I just bought this thing and it has existing OR lights (a pair on the grill guard) but they don't work and I don't have wiring diagrams (yet). I've tried following the wires but they disappear into places I can't see and I don't know where they're supposed to go for power and/or relays or...?
There is a switch on the left dash (3rd down, below rear fogs) that I'm guessing goes to the OR lights but it doesn't light when pushed or cause anything else to happen as far as I can tell.
So the questions are:
-I imagine a relay somewhere but no idea where it should be although there is an "AUX" relay plugged in in the engine fuse/relay box and it's not marked what it's for.
-is that the correct switch and if not, where is the right one and what is that one for?
-where do the lights get power, i.e, where are they fused?
-do they only work when high beams are on or supposed to be on at all times when they do work and the correct switch is on?

Any ideas? Thanks.

Do they look like this? There's an accessory catalog in the full Rave download that shows some installation details. If not are they LR accessories or aftermarket? A photo may help if you still?

I don't have a way to insert a photo (I don't use internet photo sharing services) but the lights are mounted in the center of the grill guard.
The interior switch is labeled with a light icon and a "2" on it.

FYI, don't need one using "Manage Attachments" as long as file size is within limits.

Update.
Discovered the offroad light controller module mounted at the rear of the engine compartment fusebox this past weekend. Never expected such a thing instead of a standard relay and so wasn't looking for it. Replacement over $200 so dumped it and replaced it with a standard relay for about $6. Unswitched and controlled directly by the high beams now but will replace the factory momentary (2) switch with modified on-off switch.
Also replaced the Hellas with a nice LED bar. Note the wheels and tires are now 16" with Goodyear Duratracs instead of the 18" stock rims.

I'm kind of surprised that no one has asked me about this since it's obvious from the previous lack of replies/suggestions that no one had any idea what the problem was.
