Default 2000 Disco II Odometer not working

Hi!

I would like to ask an assistance regarding my 2000 Disco II.
A month ago I noticed that my Odometer is not working properly
sometimes its working and sometimes its not but for two weeks
now its totally dead because its not working at all, no reading in
speed and no reading in trip meter. I tried to disconnect the
battery terminal hoping it will work but nothing happened.

Thank you!

Best Regards...

Ben

Check the connections on the alternator. Clean and re torque all bolts.

Thanks abran....I checked all the connections on the alternator, clean the terminals and even re-torque all bolts but it seems the odometer is still not responding. Of all the instruments and indicators displayed in the dashboard, it's the odometer only that is not working.

I'm guessing the next step is to clean all ground wires? Just a guess. I have a D1 and as I understand it D1 and D2 ODO run from the alternator. I torqued my connections and my ODO went from erratic to stable.

Also, try searching in the D2 forum or posting your problem there. If it's D2 specific, I'm sure you are not the first to have this issue.
