2001 Disco 2 won't start

Got the CPS today.. AUD$153 plus shipping. Will get the mechanic to do it, given my total noobiness at doing it myself.. Thanks for all your help guys! Will post back tomorrow if it all works!

Be sure to caution mechanic to make careful notes of the spacer location and orientation. Many CPS are replaced, then no crank, because spacer was wrong. The tip of the unit is maybe 2mm away from the teeth of the flywheel to make a magenetic pulse. Too far, and no pulse.

I hope you don't use that supplier again, $153 for a $70 sensor, that is terrible.

He is in Australia Mike, so that is in his dollars not USD.

Sadly, that's cheap for Australia.. we just don't have the volume of Land Rovers here that the US has, hence the cost. With the AUD being above the USD at the mo, that's about US$157 . Should be all done by this arvo, will let you know if it's the problem.

Well guys, looks like the starting issue is solved with the new CPS. All working now! Thanks for your help. Just need to figure out how to get the Cruise working again..
