Default 2003 Discovery SE7 - Rear Heat

I just purchased a 2003 Discovery SE7 and am having a hard time figuring out the AC/Heater. We have been having 30 degree mornings. The vehicle is equipped with rear air, but it is always cool...never warm. If I turn the rear blower on, it freezes my kids. The only way I can warm the rear of the vehicle is to turn the temp to HI and the blower to HI and sweat it out until the rear thaws out. Then, when I crank it down, the back gets to cold. Any suggestions/help will be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,

Eric

Hi, I have the same truck, 2003 Disco SE7.Now that you are bringing up the issue, Ithink the rear vents are for A/C only. I also can not make it blow hot air, only cold.

A/C only is correct.

oh what a tangled web of LR misteries we weeve. That is really odd the way a luxury SUV like a LR DISCO of that year doesnt have rear heat...
However, I have noticed that setting the heater to AUTO makes a good distribution of adecuate temperature after the vehicle has warmed up to operating standards.
A good setting I have fiddled with is 72 when driving on the highway with the fan set to 2 and the mode in AUTO. and 68 while driving on city streets. These settings keep the SUV at a very
comfortable temperature with out over heating eyebrows or letting feet freeze for both the front and back. Hope this helps.
