2007 LR3 activating 'tight tolerance mode'
My first post, that said if I do or say something wrong, bear with me. I own a tyre shop and sold a GOOD customer a set of tyres for his 2007 LR3. Tyres were wiped out @ 17,000 miles. He asked me if I could align the vehicle. I told him I would try, or @ least check his alignment. I am using a calibrated Hunter machine with stainless turntables and Dead level rack.
Got vehicle on rack with 4 sensors mounted and tried to get readings. HOW DO I DISABLE THE ACTIVE SUSPENSION?????
Suspension aired up or down (exausted) rear Camber ok -1.5 deg but toe!!!! left .54deg in (up) .44deg(down) right .44deg in
(up) .36deg (down) I have a spec of .24 deg total rear toe.
I gave up looking at the rear readings and not being able to stabalize the ride height.
Does Rover TSB LA-204-007 mean dealer only software to align this vehicle???
Also, any body have any up-dated align specs to set this vehicle to?
I can see from the specs the problem, but how to disable, and set to nomimal ride height height key off engine off. I would honestly think there would have to be a way!!!!!
Any help at all, GREATLY APPERICATED dave

RE: 2007 LR3 activating 'tight tolerance mode'
dont lift it, at all, and keep a door open. most hunter machines allow you to use rolling comensation... tight tolarence mode is a joke, it doesnt stop it from moving, it makes it more sensitive, so itll level itself down to half a mm, instead of 3 mm normally... that rear comber eccentric is tricky without jacking the car though, i trashed a old wrench with a torch to get the right angle. good luck. oh, and let him know, he wont see 30k from any tires, the inner edges will be shot, the air suspcauses camber to get all screwey, even when aligned right
