Hey, i own a 1997 landrover disco and today it was driving fine, then when i parked for awhile to stop at the store. When i got out my car started up fine but wouldnt shift out of PARK. Also the brake lights dont light up...

So i was wondering what is the problem, anyone can help?

You have a failed brake light switch, located down at the brake pedal, easy to fix and cheap.
Check with Atlantic British or Rover Connection on the web if you don't have a dealer near by.

Also check the fuse.(for the brakes)
Make sure that the rear middle brake light and the rear window defroster
plugs that are on the back window are not touching, this will blow the fuse.
