My '98 Land Rover SD has had a warm weather starting issue for the past two years now. I have now reached almost 190,000 miles. In cold weather [anything 50F ambient or lower] I start and run without any problems. Once the weather climbs above 50F ambient, the LR is difficult to start or will not start at all.The times thatit does finally start, it will rough idle and, most of the time, shut down. When it does get running it will rough idle/backfire and run rich for a period of time. Most of the time I will get it home and park it. I have none of these issues in cold weather.
