Default 98 LRdisco brakes?????

Last night i got in my car to go to work and all pressure was absent from the brake peddle, i added brake fluid, since it was kinda low, and pumped my brakes but no pressure returns, the anti lock light is lit, this morning i noticed some fluid on the front driver tire, and on the driveway last night(smelt like brake fluid), the brake line looks kinda limp as well, and the e-brake is stopping the car from rolling out the driveway. I have a mechanic(friend) who is coming in the morning, meanwhile I'd appreciate some help troubleshooting so that I can have parts ready or at least let him know what he's dealing with when he gets here. i know theres no certainty in finding the problem 100% just by describing it here, but the help would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

You need to see where the fluid is coming from. Might be the caliper, or just a brake line. The hoses fail and bulge out. Atlantic British has good replacements that are stainless steel braided.

Changing out the pads is easy, but the rotors are a booger. If you have a little lip on the rotor, it needs to be replaced. No turning these baby's . Atlantic british also has complete brake kits with the axle seals too. If you need rakes, I would get them there.

Google the Rave CD for Land Rover. There are free downloads, or you can buy one from e-bay for about $10. They have the workshop manual on it, and will guide you through the process of repairing your brakes.

Good Luck!

If you are leaking fluid from one of the rubber brakes hose, then replace them with a stainless steel set.
Re bleed the system, about 3 pints and then let us know how it is going.
Don't worry about the last comment regarding a lip on the rotors, not always needed.

If it is leaking from a front caliper, you should rebuild/replace both front calipers so your truck won't pull when braking. No you don't need any special too;s for bleeding the brakes afterwards, jut 3 plus pints of DOT 4.
