98 RR with coolant issues
Well I am new to the Land Rover world. I just bought a P38 and already I had to replace the fuel pump and now I have a check engine light.
I check the codes and this is what I got: P0116, P0118, P0125.
I checked a rover manual I found online and it looked like a bad ECT sensor. I picked one up at autozone for $28 and installed it. I also drained out all of the coolant and replaced it with some dex coolant.
Well check engine light went off for one second and then popped right back up. I still have the same fault codes. Now the question I have on my GEMS engine is it appears to have two coolant sensors. In the picture I have attached my ECT sensor(new) is on the right with the orangish plug, the green one on the left is a smaller temperature sensor, but I do not know if it is the culprit. I checked my voltage across the new ECT sensor and I was running around 1.5V after 2 min of running.
If anyone here can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

I checked the wires and there is no short to ground and there is no short in between each other. Voltage at the plug is still around 1.5 volts at startup. I do not have a scanner so im going to take it in to a shop. Harnes looks great with no bad wires.
Ok I took it to a local land rover specialist and both sensors need to be replaced. We changed out the green one in the picture I posted above and that was the culprit. I just want to let everyone know if they have the same issue.
