Default 99 blown head gasket never done one can I fix it

Found a 99 and 2003 selling as a pair for 1400.00.the 99 has a blown head gasket but runs fine 4x4 works shift nice ac works,2003 won't turn over,maybe blown motor I don't know going back tomorrow to look at them more in depth.interior on both are very nice.i have never changed a head gasket but am not scared to do it but a little apprehensive.can a dummy do it.are 99 and 2003 interchangeable for donor parts,thanks

Yes, a dummy like me can do it. Won't be pretty, and plan on $250 of machine shop work and $90-$130 gaskets depending on where you buy. See https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...ght=Shade+Tree for how not to do it.

to much of risk for me,cracked heads who knows what else.think i will look for turn key deal,a lot of junk out there.got stupid and wanted one in the driveway quick, bad idea.think i will take my time,
