Hi Garth,

If you're talking about programming new or current keys to start the vehicle, that is a dealer specific function that is not available with the iLAND.

I received my iLand about a week ago and I have only had a limited time to play with it. I just barely scratched the surface of the features and only read codes turned off the CEL. I am curious if there is a official manual of some kind because it only came with instructions on how to set it up. A lot of data I am just not exactly sure how to read or interpret.

The iOS version operates well like a Mac you have to reboot a couple times to get it right and connected.

Going to hook it up today and play with it more
already paid for itself right out of the box

I spent a little time with the iLand on my 06 LR3, HSE 94k miles

Overall, I'm super impressed. The perfect practical geek out tool.
The data available to view is incredible.

I am a tech savvy novice mechanic and I think the tool will work out for me.

There are two apps to d/l. The iLand app and the iLand diagnostics app. I can't tell you why there are two but it probably had a lot to do with the model truck.

I am using the iOS app and it took a few times to get it to connect reliably.
I got this screen a few times.

I don't think the interface is all that great but I figured it out well enough.
I'm going dig into my FSM and compare my numbers with spec if that is possible.

Here are some screen shots of my truck. I am trying to track down a phantom suspension fault that comes and goes and also a intermittant lean code in bank 1.

This gives you a good example of the extensive data it spits out.
fun stuff

I give it a big thumbs up

Thx. for the nice write-up, @scorpion.

Regarding the two apps... This is specific to the iOS app versions of the iLAND app (you will not see two separate apps on android).

"iLAND" is the main functional app to do all the diagnosis and functions.

"iLAND Diag" is the second app you were referencing. That is simply a communications app that runs in the background when the main app is use. It enables the
Bluetooth communication between the main app to the wireless iLAND Bluetooth adapter that you plug into the diagnostic port on your vehicle when in use.

If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Thx.

I'm a little confused. Key Programming is listed under Popular Special Functions:
But...

Can you clarify?

Hi Coop,

Sorry for the confusion, that is a content error on our parts. It's supposed to say "Key Fob and/or Plip programming." Programming new/blank keys can only be done by LR dealerships for security reasons. However, if you're looking to program a new plip/key fob for your LR3, the iLAND is the perfect tool for the job.

Cheers,

AB
