Default Best Bi-Directional OBD II Scanner for LR and other vehicles

Looking for a bi-directional scanner that will allow me to diagnose and reset the various LR functions as well as other non-Rover vehicles.
Trying to stay in the $500-$700 range.
Autel 906 series has gotten high praise but a little too pricey at $1200.
Recommendations?

GAP tool will do it all - it's about $500 or so. Autel AP200C will do most of what you need, and is a lot less, but I'd contact them to confirm it will do what you need it to.

I did search but all the threads I found were looking for simple readers.

I have the Launch X431 Diagun IV, it's spendy but I have found very little it can't do. It covers all makes and models.

Every one that I've seen is looking for anything EXCEPT a simple reader.
There are some decent Foxtel units discussed on several threads, as well as the Nanocom and the Hawkeye.
