First time posting. Searched and can't find exact issue. I apologize presumptively if braking any forum etiquette, etc.

2005 V8 SE LR3. This morning I had a hard start and got brake fault display. I cut engine off and restarted, no problem. This afternoon went to start and nothing, faint click but no turnover, nothing. Checked battery - fine.

Any suggestions?

One other (maybe pertinent) piece of info: about 2-3 months ago kept having occasional hard starts and transmission faults that would clear after turning back off/on. Read on this forum or another to try replacing fuel pump relay R6. Did and no problems at all until today.

 

There is a common issue with the LR3 concerning the brake light switch. The symptoms you describe sorta point in that direction.
