Default how to diagnose a fault crank sensor

I replaced my A/C fan- but what I have read and be advised there are probably other issues leading to my "crank no start when warm". I've heard that it could be the crank sensor. Would a faulty sensor throw an OBDII code? I do not a have service engine light glowing. I hooked-up my OBDscanner and got no codes back. Would it show-up on a Testbook or Rovacom scanner?

Not all crank sensor issues show up as faults.
When you can't start the engine, if you have no spark, it will most likely be your crank sensor, cam sensor if you have no fuel pressure.

crank sensor controls spark, cam sensor controls injection... your check engine light will not turn off when cranking(during a no start) if you have no crank sensor signal, thats the easy way to tell..(this can also be caused by immobilization, both the light and the no spark, however youll have a code then, might not with the sensor) you will have fuel pressure if your cam sensor fails, just no injection

I have been burnt by this before, there will be no stored faults in the pcm. so its guessing time! replace the crankshaft possition sensor. Its not hard to replace and fairly inexpensive.
