I drove my 98 disc through a car wash today, with a underbody spray. It died in the middle of the wash while running. My guess is ditributer coils got wet. Had it towed back to my heated garage and it's just sitting now hoping whatever got wet will dry up and start. When I turn the key itwill just crank, few times the engine turned over, or tried to. I just tried it now and whenI turned the key the first time it did nothing, no starter crank. Returning the key to the off position, and trying again it did crank strong but still no luck getting it to start.I'm not sure what it's called exactly but I read somewhere in the forum about a master reset, kill switch, lockout or something along that idea. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The plugs and wires are new andI used dielectric grease on allthe boots when I replaced them a few months ago. Thanks for any help offered. ~ Kevin

First, go get a 2 hour charge on your battery, can't do anything with out that.
D1's have a ECU under the hood, passenger side of the firewall, that may have gotten wet, if so it won't start till that dries out, takes forever or open it up and dry it out.
Wish I could help you with the plug, was it hooked up before you hit the car wash?

Update- Thanks for your help. Sat in the garage all night at 75 deg ( 6 deg outside) Fired right up and ran perfect like nothing happened this morning! Note to self... Don't drive my Rover super slow over high pressure underbody sprayers! I learn something new everyday with this toy!
