Default Disco I vibration issue

I have a 97 Disco having vibration problems as soon as you start to accelerate and they dont go away unless you let off the gas, then it stops immediately. I can feel it more in the floor than through the wheel. At 70mph on the interstate it feels the same as 10mph. Not serious vibration but more than enough to be noticeable and annoying. I have read a little about this and this vehicle does not have the flex joint on the rear drive shaft. Would worn out U joints cause this vibration issue also? I just bought the rover so I have no idea the maintenance that has been performed. There is a pretty bad oil leak coming from the rear axle and the steering wheel is about 45 degrees off center. The steering wheel also seems to snag, lock, catch, hang up, in two different spots when turning, those spots being about 90 degrees apart. I am unsure if these two issues are related but any advice will be helpful.
Thanks

Replace all four u-joints and then grease them at every oil change.
Replace the axle breather on the rear axle and then change all the driveline fluids.
The u-joint on your steering shaft is probably seized.
You can try to free it by soaking it with PB Blaster.
Put the front axle on jack stands, spray the u-joint on the steering shaft with PB Blaster, then turn the steering wheel from lock to lock (no need for the engine to be running), repeat and see if it gets better.
It may also be the steering box but my money is on the steering shaft u-joint.

You can also lock the CDL when you have one shaft out, and drive truck as front or rear wheel drive (depending on shaft removed).
