can anybody tell me how the 4x4 system works. does it have to be in low gear for the traction and abs to work when your wheeling or to make the tires lock up like have lockers in your diff.. and what does the brake drum do on the rear of t case.. and what does the m mode mean in low gear. sorry dont have owners manual yet.. thanks

the brake drum is the parking brake, pulling it in an emergency is a good idea if you also are saying prayers rapidly at that point.

The 4WD works all the time, no 2WD unless you remove a drive shaft.
