Discovery 2 ignition issue
Hey guys, I have run out of ideas. I have an 01 Discovery 2 that will turn over but not fire. I have replaced the CPS, Ignition Coils, plug wires, and plugs. I've checked the fuel pump and it appears to be working. After installing these parts, it acted as if it wanted to start, stuttered and every other attempt after, no fire.
I live in Columbia SC, and as you all know, we've had a rough few days. I really need to get this truck running because it could be useful in getting myself and friends into areas to help with our recovery efforts.
I know the engine is getting fuel, as I can smell gas after trying to start it a few times. As a side note, I have noticed that the light around the key ignition is red instead of green. Could my problem actually be related to the Anti-theft?
I have tried the inertia switch, but with no success.
PLZ help.
P.S. I failed to mention that this problem started a few weeks ago. When I would come to a stop after driving i.e. traffic lights, stop signs, etc. it would hesitate and stutter when accelerating and then drive normally. This issue was very intermittent, sometimes only once every couple days.
