Discovery 2 rattle ..........grrrrrrrrr

Discovery 2 rattle ..........grrrrrrrrr
HI , was wondering if anyone could help me with a rattle i have devloped on my discovery 2.............
symptoms are a rattling sound which seems to coming from the rear of the transfer box area
i have quickly been underneath thinking it was a gaurd rattling or heat shield on the exhaust but alas it seems as thou its coming from the transfer box area
it starts at about 750rpm thro to about 1250 rpm ish
correct me if im incorrect but im thinking it cant be transfer box internals as nothing sould be moving on tickover surely in the box????
im a touch confussed
any help or past expieriences with this problem would be great
