Default Discovery II Transmission/Shifting Problem

Need help!! Having issues with 2003 Discovery II no modifications. After driving and vehicle placed into park, it will not go back into reverse or drive. Have to wait approximately 15-20 minutes and then it will work again. Shifts fine and runs fine when works, just have to wait before retrying. Recently changed xyz switch, transmission fluid and filter but still having same issue. Ideas?

Did you replace the XYZ with a new or used unit? My buddy had the same problem and the used XYZ that was supposed to be good was not.

will it not go into reverse or dive because the shifter solenoid will not let the shifter lever move? or is the lever moving but the transmission is not responding.

Looking at your 'P' codes you have a bunch of oxygen sensor faults, I suspect you have the wrong sensors fitted or communication is poor. For certain Amigo you have mixture adaption issues.

The transmission fault is p0738 Torque converter module (TCM) engine speed output circuit low. The p0734 is 4th gear incorrect speed ratio.
Time to get someone into the transmission to diagnose the internals.

Can sound expensive!
