96 discovery dome lights quit working. Changed out mfu and now have voltage at front dome light and when you push in on the door switch a relay under driver seat starts chattering. Also with door open voltage on dome light voltage slowly goes down and when shut door have constant voltage. Been slowly going through wiring for a few days but havent tracked any thing down. Any help will be appreciated.

 

Sounds backward. When door closed, lights should dim. Was MFU (back of the fuse panel) a new one? Any discoloration of plastic near the big transistor (which operates the lights)? Mine melted a tiny hole in the plastic (top left in photo). That style transistor is good for about 55 watts when on a good heat sink. In free air it is more like one watt. So factory design with it glued to plastic is somewhere in between. I changed to LED interior and cargo lights and cut power it has to deal with.
