We have an ‘02 Disco II. My hubby went through the motor replaced head gaskets, valve covers, spark plugs etc.
Runs good except for 1 issue. Within a mile of leaving the house it will start missing - acting like fuel issue, then it ceases and runs fine. Fuel filter looks good. As do lines. If it were a fuel pump, it wouldn’t recover and run fine would it?
Any ideas? And there are no ‘dummy lights’ on such as check engine. We run premium fuel in it. We bought this LR for a dogshow/Hunt Test vehicle. As I travel a lot by myself, it’s imperative we get the bugs worked out so I don’t have trouble on the road when I’m alone with our dogs.
