Default Engine Disabled

Loaned my 96 Range Rover to a friend and I think he killed it. Lockedthe key inside, ( I only have one working remote, but I have two fobs) the working remote. I opened it with the non-working fob, via the key and the alarm went off. Now the engine is disabled and neither remote works???? I is now snowing in Minnesota and if I don't get this thing moved they will tow it!!!!

Try using the key, turn it 3 times towards open, this may reset the alarm. Also check inertia switch against the firewall in the engine bay.

Hi qslide99.
Land Rover foreseen something like this happening and has assigned a EKA (emergency key access )code for your vehicle. The handbook explains how to enter the code.If you dont have the 4 digit code, you can get it from Land Rover.
Regards
Marius
