Default Engine jerk up hills?

Hello,
I'm new to Land Rover and new to this Forum. I live in Asheville, NC and am a new owner of a '03 DiscoII. I got as far as the test drive last Friday, and experienced a real obvious engine jerk when approaching 40mph and especially going up hills. I've determined it's not the transmission...thinking fuel filter, fuel something?

It's not the fuel filter, or fuel in general. Do you have a check engine light?
Does it happen often?
I would bet it is the tranny, maybe the torque convertor locking up late.
Are you still under warrnaty, if so call the dealer.

It does happen every time I reach 40 mph or go up hills. I've determined it's not tranny because it happens when I brake and also shift into other gears like 3rd (it's an automatic.) Not in warranty. The dealer's draggin' their feet on this one.
Yes, service engine light came on. Before that the TractionControl light, ABS light and HillDescent light came on all at once.

So you do have a check engine light, hace you had the CEL scanned for a code, if so, what was it?
I still think it is drive line related, have you installed grease fitting on the both of the drive shafts slip joints, to make sure they are not binding up?
