Default Engine system fault problem!! Work stay running!

Hey guys very new to the site but have had my disco since 06. Ok now the problem my truck was broken into and radio, seats front and back and some panels were stolen while I was on vacation. Well I got the parts to put back in and I got to hook everything up and noticed the wires for the drivers and passenger seats were cut well I spliced and put all the wires back to where they go and when I go to start the truck it cranks for maybe 5 seconds starts and as soon as engine system fault message appears the truck shuts off! What the heck is going on?? Any help I really need it!

They may have pulled relays or cut wires under hood as well. Please read any codes for the check engine light system. These may point you in the right direction.

Yes that's what I thought but all wires are good and fuses n relays are too. The only thing I see is the wires that connect under the seats were cut and if I'm right the seat always have constant power and something messed up when they cut them all at once.

Did you make sure they are all connected correctly.

Did they take the center console or just the seats.

Its also possible the wires on the side in the harness are damaged or the key cylinder was messed with.

Take it to the dealer and have them repair the damage. The insurance is paying for it anyway and they will cover everything.

Get it fixed right or else you may find yourself with a whole host of problems cause you are not experienced.

Good advice, as we don't have access to shop manuals and wiring diagrams on these - or did I miss them somewhere?
