Talking First effort

Just bought a 99 Disco from a mechanic in Ocala FL....with 130K looks to be in excellant physical shape, he did the heads at 113K but tells me I cannot drive it home because it randomly overheats! Any suggestions?? Radiator flush? fan clutch? bad head job?, air evac? Also needs a body control unit and the steering wheel is off center but drives straight. Im a decent mechanic been building motors, working on my 4x4;s and hot rods for 45 years...what am I in for? I love these truks... and have wanted one for 10 years wish I could afford a Defender...(My wife tells me Id be on the couch if I did )
