Default freelander fault code reader

Hi, I am new here but would apreciate your help,I have a 03 freelander1, that I would like to be able to read the fault codes on,can anybody point me in the right direction

They don't take any special reader, all OBD2 readers will get the job done, the only difference is that as they become more expensive they will do more for you in fixing problems.
I bought a 3130 from Amazon for around $134 after reading the link below. Check it out.

ok found the obd socket, have looked at varios scanners and fancy the AUTEL MAXISCAN MS509 ,would apreciate any veiws on this or any other scanners
