I have filled slow and it still back splashes. I took the fill tube apart to check the vent tube and it is fine. I took the trickle valve apart to clean it. Still having the trouble. It's annoying filling this thing up a drop at a time. Anyone remedied this problem?

 

I'm assuming you have a D1 because of name. What the story on latest vehicle history? Has the fuel tank been removed recently? Or the fuel filler neck?

This concern usually is more common on D2's not D1's. D1's have the main filler hose and two breather hoses attached to the filler neck. Make those are connected and are in good condition.

 

I have the same problem w my 98 Disco 1. Tried blowing lines out and blew up the charcoal box thing a majig. Still take 15 minutes for 4 gallon of gas! UGH! HELP!!!
