My D1 fuel pump draws 5.1 amps, measured with a clamp on DVOM at the inertia switch on the firewall (in series with the pump). Filter is new within 3000 miles. Just seemed like a good place to measure the pump, easier than pulling up carpet in the back. Cold also measure by removing inertia switch plug, and using probes across harness plug contacts, as long as your amp meter will handle that level. Just an FYI.
