Default Help with 2001 Disco II!!

Hey guys, just recently bought my first land rover, 2001 disco II SE. Recently started doing a complete overhaul of the truck, full fluid flush of everything in the car, replacing all the filters, spark plugs etc etc. I also am doing a full LED conversion of interior lights. Only two things are giving me issues
1. How do i turn on the accessory lights? the guy i bought it from swore they work but had no idea how to turn them on. My first guess what the third light button down on left panel behind the steering wheel. The same panel where the fogs and rear lights are turned on..(however i may be wrong)
2. Putting the truck into low: I haven't had a reason to pop it into low yet but i wanted to try it out. I put it in neutral like the pictures showed me and tried moving it into low but it wouldn't pop out of high or move into neutral at all. Anything i'm doing wrong? And i apologize for the newbie questions just new to land rovers in general and don't want to mess anything up!

2. might be worth a try on the move...slow creep, put in neutral, then try to bump the tcase shifter up......or it may be stuck from non use

1- they might only turn on when the headlights are on, try that.
