Help - LR2 Problems
I have a 2008 LR2 (automatic) that is parked in the garage for 35 days at time because I work away from home. This time around I've come home and gone to use it; it started no problem, I put into reverse and it would not move, put it in drive and it would not move. With both of the aforementioned actions I could feel the car pulling a little and it would rev if I pressed the gas peddle, but still would not move. I did not try to punch the gas peddle however as I did not want to go flying into the townhouse behind me or into my own and was worried that I could cause more damage to the vehichle. I should also mention the E-break was not on.
Are there any mechanically inclined people out there with some advice or knowledge on what the problem could be befor I call a tow truck? as I mentioned before, my time at home is always limited and I will be away twice as long this time, perhaps I should wait till I come back home next time as i'm sure it being parked for such long periods has something to do with it.

its possible the brakes might be rusted to the ebrake shoes. give it some gas to break it free. trust me, a little gas wont be bad. if you have to put something two feet behind the vehicle to slow it down or stop it.
thanks Rovin4life, looks like you're correct about the brakes being rusted. I moved it back a a couple of feet with much noise and resistance from my little LR2. Will this eventually come free; will it cause much damage? Will it be drivable to the garage?
Allright... I stopped being a chicken and gently went for it. after a bit of break pumping and slowly driving around the block all seems to be fine. Thanks again for your advice - MUCH APPRECIATED! Cheers!
If you are going to be parking it like that often and for extended periods buy a can of Liquid Wrench and brake cleaner.
Coat the rotors with the Liquid Wrench before you leave.
Once you get back clean them with the brake cleaner.
This will prevent the rust problem.
