Jumped the relay - no sound. The conclusion would be the horns are broken. Hence I will take them out and test them. It strikes me as a bit odd, because there are two horns and it seems unlikely that both break at the same time. Also in 20 years of car ownership I never had a broken horn. We'll see ...

Or wire cut going to them, etc. As I recall, you remove the turn signals to get at a bolt that holds the horizontal trim on below head light that secures lower edge of grille.

I had one horn bad on mine when I bought it. Of course it was the low note that was bad, so honking the one good horn sounded like a freaking scooter or something. "meep meep". That was quickly remedied with low note horn replacement.

Perhaps on yours, one horn failed, and previous owner didn't replace it....second horn failed after time, and previous owner didn't replace it either...

One of mine got water in it and sounded like a dying cat. I had one from a suburban laying around so I spliced it into the wiring just for the fun of it. It has become the most interesting horn sound. Suburban low tone+disco low tone +dying cat....

And could also be grounds from horns have corroded, knocked loose - see attached pages from RAVE before going into grille. C558 and C564

Replaced both horns. Pretty loud ones - hi on low. Standard auto shop parts work fine, but the connectors on the new ones are so cheap and a facing a different angle - felt a little bad, but fixing the whole issue for 20$ felt great.

Default I'm so Confused...HELP??

I just bought a 2002 Disc, and I just change the fuses for my interior lights, radio, and all of sudden my keyless remote that on my key works now, so I guess all that needed was a fuse too.lol and the horn started working as well! I have two keys, one factory, and a copy key, now I use the copy more than the factory because my fac. key is bent, so friday I go to start my truck and it doesn't start??? Ok, so somebody in the parking lot ask me do I need a jjum, I said no because I just bought that battery two weeks ag and everything is coming on but the engine, and the guy put the cables on anyway, and my engine kick right on??? so I drive about 20 block from being jumped, and my engine shuts off, pull over check everything, it wasn't overheated, no Battery light came on dash, so I start playing with the remote, hit lock button twice, then hit unlock button, waits a sec, and puts copy key in, and it starts right up! Drive my sisters house which only 10mins away, get there turn it off, and it doesn't turn back on, next day, come back to get it towed, use remote to unlock, but use copy key to start, and it starts right up, drives 15mins away, and it shuts off again, wait 10mins, press the remote again, and hear the horn chearp twice, which is different, and then hit unlock, stick the factory key in, and pull it out, and use copy key and it starts right up, and then drives it all the home to my door, which now it starts right up, and with no problem, and horn STOP working again! CAN SOMEBODY HLP BEFORE I SELL THIS TRUCK, I love it tho....
