Default Ignition switch in defender NAS that won't start

Just ran this test and got 0 volts.

Next, if the leads on your meter will reach, turn on the ignition and measure the voltage from the positive connector on the coil and the negative post on the battery. If the negative lead won't reach all the way to the battery, use the engine block. Make sure the connector on the coil is still attached. The voltage should be no less than 1 volt from the reading obtained directly from the battery.

Test says I have an ignition switch problem. Does anyone know how I can troubleshoot an ignition switch?

jump past the switch with some jumper wires, if I remember to get it to start you need the power, ground and the ignition feed and then jump them together for a moment to get it to start.
