Did not meet my deductible of $500. Unfortunately, for me, I am at the mercy of the dealer now. Plus I still have to get the lock fixed. Got a quote of $95. AAA said they will reimburse me $100 due to their inability to fix it. Blessed that my window guy could do it. Dealer wanted $350 to remove and replace window.

What is the Multi-Tester Pro screen?
Did he remove the side window from the cargo area?
Let us know how much the dealership charged.
What is the PLIP key?
I am under the impression that it can only superlock if the alarm was initially set with the remote. My remote quit working for me, I ended up selling it to someone on here and only use my key to lock it if absolutely necessary to lock it, which I rarely do.

Good info but not exactly what I need
Maybe you can help me. Have a Defender extreme and live in a remote part of NT-no agents or computer access. Car has a Nano com evolution interface connected but no info came with it.
I have only 1 remote on the keyring which was lost a while ago (no car) and since found. Rover database/records have no records of pin for immobilizer manual key entry into ignition lock.
I have been informed by Darwin Rover that they must have the car to interface with computer to disconnect the immobilizer which I can only do when the 700km track out of here is open-august-november generally.
Can I post keys and remote to dealership to have the remote duplicated which would solve the issue that if I again lose or damaged the remote I am royally stuffed!
Hope you can help.

So the remote will not talk to the truck?
And the question is can the dealer program a new remote with the truck being there?
No, they cannot.
I think it might be possible to send them the trucks alarm unit and remote and they might beable to program them that way.
But I think your best bet is taking them the whole truck and remote and having them disable the alarm completly since you live in such a remote area.

imobilizer
thanks for getting back to me
defender 2004 td5 90 extreme alive
have nanocom diagnostic interface built in but no manuals
have relocated keys with security remote-working fine
can a dealer duplicate the remote without the vehicle-they are unsure!
next time i visit a dealer will definately have system removed
Incidentally the TC and ABS amber lights remain ON when driving although both systems working fine, any significance?

Sorry but I don't have documents on one that new. You could try the TOPIx part of the Land Rover corporate site, you can download owner manuals free, and for a fee the actual shop manuals. Another thought would be that if you are really high cost to get to a dealer, might consider owning your own advanced diagnostic meter or software, like a Hawkeye. Don't know if anyone rents that gear with a deposit.
