Leaky Axle?
Hey All,
I noticed this yesterday afternoon. I've driven with it for one day since I noticed it.
It looks like I have a leaking seal somewhere in my front axle. Either that, or something around the front-right wheel is leaking fluids. The fluid is dripping onto my tire, and getting flung into the wheel well as you can see. Once on my tire, the fluid becomes quite sticky. The rubber boot itself doesn't have any leaking fluid on it. Also, what appears to be where the axle goes into the axle housing is also dry as can be seen in one of the pictures. I'm confused as to where this could be coming from.
What exactly am I looking at here? I fear this could be quite a serious problem? How urgent is it that I get this fixed?
Here are some pictures from as many visible angles that I could get:
Thanks,
John

Seal - Front Axle for Discovery Series II | Land Rover wheels, tires, hubs, axles
But first remove and clean your axle breather and tube, if it becomes clogged the front diff will build up pressure and will escape out the weakest point.
