Ive just bought a 96 discovery and it wont lock, i only have the spare key and when younturn it in the key hole, the key hole falls out, also if i push the lock on the inside and then slam the door it just reopens the car, any thoughts ?

You'll need to pull your trim panel, remove the outer door handle (easiest that way) and find the "modified e-ring" that should be holding the cylinder pawl and the cylinder into the handle (I've got a picture in my recent post @ drivers door handle fell apart), you'll probably find your goodies in the bottom of the door. Your lock/unlock problem is probably related. Check your pictures in the RAVE body manual. Russ
