Hello!~

I have an '04 Disco SE and today when I left for lunch "S" and "M" indicators started blinking together on the dash. I pulled over and restarted and the lights went out. After about 10 minutes the lights came back on, this time with the "Service Engine Soon" light. Again, I pulled over and restarted. The Engine light remained on but the others turned off....Needless to say they came back on...Any ideas? I was wondering if it had anything to do with the battery? I had to get a new battery a few days ago...maybe the connection is not tight?

Any ideas would be great, my LR mechanic is on vacation for the next week and a half, and when I called the dealership they want a retarded amount of money (almost double what I usually pay) just to look at it...

If your battery is pushing less than 13 A, your transmission will go wacko. Since you got a new battery not too long ago, I would first check the connections, then have your alternator tested.
