I'm totally clueless where cars are concerned so can someone tell which model this is?... the closest I've found on the google image is the S3 but I don't think that's quite right.

yes its a series 3

 

thankyou, though I just found some blueprints for an 88 S2, seems to be a closer match than a series 3.
