I will be towing a 1995 Blazer that I recently rebuilt up to my sister in Denver tomorrow and then towing a 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix back to Texas with the same tow dolly and ticking LR.

What could possibly go wrong?

I hate my life....Merry Christmas....

P.S. My work was impeccable...except fixing the ticking...and that little thing of getting startup lube on the serpentine...That was easy to fix...carb cleaner

did you adjust the preload on the lifters? with shims under the pedestals?

I was under the impression there was no adjustment to be made on lifters? Please explain.

i dont have a copy for the RAVE handy on my phone, but i believe they is a section in there on setting the preload.
and not have adjustable rocker arms means you have to shim the pedestals

Well she did great all the way...very slow going like about 45 mph average for 1000 miles. Still tapping but no worse than it was. Removing and cleaning the oil pan was a really god idea...a lot of sludge in the bottom of the pan and I cleaned and power sprayed the whole thing before I put it back together. I checked the oil right before I arrived and it looked as clean as when I put it in.

This morning I went out to start it and no ignition. The oil pressure gauge is showing 30 pds of pressure, so I am thinking it is a spark, ignition problem.

Any idea where to start trouble shooting would be good. I am also going to post this newest issue in a separate thread for help.
