NAV GPS goes on/off and flickers

Default NAV GPS goes on/off and flickers
The NAv of my car goes off/on and flckers when I start up the engine. Message "NAV system Not available" comes up for a couple of seconds. I recently put a new battery. This happens since then. I connected/disconnected the batery several times, nothing works. What do i do?
